Dr. Boyu Zhong is a co-founder and President of Tyligand Bioscience. He has a PhD degree from Northwestern University under the direction of Professor Richard Silverman and has carried out postdoctoral studies in Professor Andy Myers’ group at California Institute of Technology and Harvard University.
Dr. Zhong worked at Eli Lilly’s North Carolina and Indianapolis sites for 10 years, leading cross-functional teams in cancer drug discovery. He then served as the Vice President for Medicinal Chemistry at CrownBio, a contract research organization, providing integrated drug discovery services to clients from multinational pharmaceutical companies. He has also served as Vice President for Medicinal Chemistry at GanLee Pharmaceuticals, a Beijing based drug company, and CSO for ImmuneSensor, a Houston based biotech company.
Dr. Zhong is an experienced drug hunter with a solid track record. He is the inventor of four drug candidates at various stages of global clinical trials, 18 authorized international patents, and more than 20 patent applications. He has also published 26 peer reviewed papers.
